Chicken Chole (chicken with chickpeas)

This is a very nice recipe to serve at a dinner party. It is also simple and satisfying.

One and half cups cooked chick peas
3/4 tomatoe chopped
two green chilis cut into fours
one green chili chopped
one tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
1 tsp tumeric
salt to taste
one medium onion chopped

Remove two tablespoons of chickpeas from one and a half cups. Mash them.
In a medium pot add two tablespoons oil. Add chopped onion. Saute until they turn golden brown. Add ginger and garlic paste, then add tumeric. Cook for 2 or three minutes. Add green chilis, and tomatoe. Cook for five more minutes, until tomatoe starts turning mushy. Add Chicken to this. Add mashed chick peas to the pot. Add one glass of water. Also add the rest of the chickpeas. Add some chopped cilantro. Let chicken cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Add salt at the end.
Eat with white rice. Enjoy.
